Pinch valves from the VMP series from AKO Armaturen have successfully replaced pinch valves from another manufacturer, shortened the maintenance intervals for the system, reduced the costs for spare parts and minimised the system downtimes thanks to the longer service life of the sleeves in the pinch valves.

A manufacturer of ready-mixed concrete has been successfully using DN 25 pinch valves from the VMP series since 2008 to control the mixing of additives for the production of cement. Pinch valves from other manufacturers were also an integral part of the production process before 2008. As it was proving extremely difficult to purchase replacement sleeves for the previously installed pinch valves, the company was searching for an alternative manufacturer and came across AKO Armaturen.

Switching over to pinch valves from AKO Armaturen proved to be a very good decision by the concrete company after a relatively short period of time because they noticed that the service lives of the rubber sleeves installed by AKO far exceeded those supplied by the previous manufacturer and it was thus possible to reduce the maintenance-related downtimes at the plant and also the TCO (total cost of ownership) of the installed pinch valves.
