AKO Air operated Pinch Valves with Tri-Clamp Connection - VMC Series

The air operated pinch valves of the VMC series are available in the nominal diameters of DN010 to DN80.

They are designed as standard with Tri-Clamp connections according to DIN 32676. On request the VMC series of air operated pinch valves can also be provided in compliance with DIN 11853-3 and DIN 11864-3 Form B.

The general description of air operated pinch valves covers the operation and the benefits of air operated Pinch Valves with a tri-clamp connection.

Structure of VMC series:

The structure of the VMC series air operated pinch valves encompasses the sleeve - the essential part of every pinch valve - a body and two collar caps. The pinch valve sleeve is positioned in the centre of the VMC series air operated pinch valve's body; both of its ends are pressed in by the collar caps, thus forming a compact unit.

Function of AKO Pinch Valve VMC series:

The VMC series air operated pinch valve is closed by differential pressure of 2-3 bar being fed via the medium/operating pressure (depending on the elastomer grade) into the pinch valve body. As soon as the pressure supply is interrupted and the pinch valve body bled, the pinch valve sleeve opens again completely because of its enormous rebound resilience.

Only the sleeve and the two collar caps are positioned in the product flow (contact with the operating medium) of the VMC series air operated pinch valve.

DN10:       Acc. to DIN EN 558 row 27
DN15-50:  Acc. to DIN EN 558 row 1
DN65-80:  Acc. to DIN EN 558 row 7

Materials of AKO air operated Pinch Valves VMC series:

A selection of 12 different elastomer grades for the sleeve (natural rubber, food quality rubber, high temperature rubber, neoprene, EPDM, EPDM food quality, viton, silicone, nitrile, nitrile food quality, butyl and Hypalon) ensures that the VMC series air operated pinch valves have a very wide and practically unrestricted field of application.

Bodies come either as a powder-coated aluminium body or alternatively as an electro-polished stainless steel body. The standard material for the collar cap is stainless steel 1.4404 electro-polished; other types of stainless steel are available on request.

Maximal operating pressures Pinch Valves VMC series:
